Ingredients
(4- 6 servings)
- 480 grams of lima beans
- 120 grams of pork
- 1 slice of bacon
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 2/3 onion
- oil
- salt and pepper
Preparation:
Boil the lima beans, soaked since the day before. It is best to change the water in the pot up to two times. When the beans boil, you can add cold water so the skins smooth out (a kitchen secret). Finish cooking by adding the salt, the pieces of pork and the chopped bacon. Separately, make a base with the garlic cloves, pepper, chopped onion and oil. Finally, add the base to the lima beans once they are done and the water has partly evaporated. Serve with rice and salsa criolla.
Pallares are an excellent dish to enjoy.
